I love this filament. Looks good and prints well. In my last order of 7 spools, there were 2 that had a blue dot on the box and a green dot on the spool. The prints from these were more shiny and black than the "Low sheen" prints I'm used to. There is also about 20% more PLA (both by weight and length) on those spools. They print OK. But, in general, I don't like these kinds of surprises.

First time in a very long time I am not satisfied with a filament.
Very hard to make it stick to the bed and warps like crazy
I use a Mamorubot plate (G10) and I never ever have an issue with sticking or warping with other filaments

The best low-sheen tough PLA ever. My absolute go-to for any print needing a nice matte ish finish and some extra strength. The only downside is more difficult supports removal and some warping on the overhangs.

I really love how well this Low Sheen PLA prints that I ordered over 200 spools in the last six months across multiple orders. Yes, that's how good this filament prints.
You would expect someone who loves this filament so much to have ordered so many spools to naturally give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars... BUT... I can only give it 4 stars as I've had too many occurrences of jams with this filament. The jam comes when my printer (CR-10 V3) encounters a thicker section of the filament and is not able to extrude further but keeps on printing until it has completed processing the gcode - completely destroying the multi-hours print.
In all seven occurrences of this, the thick section of the filament appears as if two filaments ends were fused together. That section is rough and obvious and when measured with my digital caliper, has measured anywhere between 1.88mm to 1.97mm (sample size of seven occurrences after going through a little over 60 spools so far). The review only allows attaching one photo so I'm attaching the close up (from a cell phone) of the fused filament instead of the photo of the digital caliper reading.
With that out of the way, as long as I don't encounter the jam I just described, this filament prints beautifully... nice, low-sheen / matte quality that's also one of the strongest PLAs I've used.

It prints well and looks really good but I have gone through 1.5 spools on a different array of beds, the only way to keep it stuck was gluestick. With the same settings on different PLA's this wasn't a issue but if you can get past the warping then the material is great.

I design parts that require strength....and this did the job.

Consistent prints with it, haven't had any clogs etc like the valuePLAs etc. Used on Ender 3 DD, Hemera and Micro swiss DD setups all work great with it printing around 220-230 with brass nozzles. Supports also turn out better than PLA

I have a love-hate relationship with this filament. Any unsupported extensions and overhangs experience rather severe edge curling which the printer nozzle will ram into; Depending on the geometry of the model it either works amazingly or not at all.
For large geometric models and parts though, it's a great filament! Smooth professional low sheen finish, tough, and affordable.
Print a benchy however and you may find the tapered bow of the ship can curl upwards and give you problems.

My best filament for creating its solid, no wrap and very easy to print, l love this filaments
Hugo D.
Very good and i like the black
Reuben M.
Great filament, parts look like black delrin. Shipping was slow.
Guillaume T.
I love it! Above my expectations!
Norman D.
Great filament and Canadian made! This stuff is easy to calibrate and use and tough like it says. I would recommend this to anyone looking for tough PLA.

Great filament with a superb finish and quite tough, the only complaint I have is that it really likes to curl on overhangs and thin bits, much more than standard PLA filaments.
Dmitry Z.
This is a new product for me - better then EcoTough™ PLA 2.0 my previous filament, but worse then Prusament (double price per spool) .Compare price and quality - best choice for my projects
Sascha U.
Really really good filament with a professional finish. The only issue I have is that it curls more than other filaments, mostly on overhangs. That aside this stuff is great.
Mark J.
Great filament, and had no issues printing with my default PLA settings on an Ender 3. Have gone through 1kg on a small number of functional prints. It has a nice satin / matte finish, and seems tougher than most PLAs i've used to date. Will definitely be buying more for printing of tools and functional items at home
Yizhen S.
Easy to print and good finish.
William L.
The quality is very good, nice mat finish and low warp.
Joshua M.
The Filament prints extremely well, very little stringing and no artifacts at all. Very consistent and looks great even at higher layer height.
Paula H.
Wow. I really like this filament really like the low sheen and how strong it feels when comparing with regular PLA. Prints and sticks to the bed with out issue. Will buy again.
John F.
This PLA prints very well, and I am very impressed with it overall. I'll certainly buy it again!
Artur A.
Beautiful colour with very little shine and tough.
Michael C.
I've tried many brands of filament, and the strength of this PLA blows the others away. It's the best that I've tried! The matte finish is great if you don't want to post-process. Sanding it is a little bit harder than the average PLA, but this is due to the filament itself being stronger than most. I print it at 220°C, and it produces a very strong bond between layers. Print defects like bubbles/pockets, clogs, and stringing is less than half that of other filaments. I switched to this about 6 months ago after years of using other brands, and will never turn back!
Mack T.
Prints great and looks good but it does struggle on overhangs.
Marc-Antoine
It looks SO GOOD. The absence of shine makes layers look like anodized aluminium.
Prints amazingly well. I’ve not noticed differences from premium Prusament for example. I think this looks better than galaxy black or jet black if you don’t want sparkles.
This is definitely going to be my go-to filament brand / series.
Spool’s winding was somewhat loose and misaligned, extruder has to work unevenly but my machine seems to cope.
Jeremy B.
Prefect filament, the matte finish is great to have parts look more production like.
Craig W.
Really like this material. Low sheen finish, tough with some flex, easy to print and low cost.
charli g.
Print vert easily , good color , easy to set Up !
Lee H.
This is pretty good filament. Has some issues with flow consistency, perhaps owing to its matte structure. Difficult to balance stringing and solidity if you’re printing with precision in mind, but for quick prints it works well and the matte finish aids postproduction.
Edward S.
My second roll of this stuff, I've really loved the finish since it first came out, nice to see it in other colours.
Stewart R.
Really nice semi-matte black filament. Lovely prints, but avoid the support if you can as it will be very hard to remove.
Andres H.
Very smooth finish with no need for sanding or trimming. Virtually no shrinkage.
Brad S.
Prints very well on my Ender 3 at 200/50.
Has a bit of flex so it doesn't break right away.
Great price and Canadian made too.
GAVIN F.
This stuff is great. Love the mat finish. Prints awesome every time. when you buy make sure to get lots as they always sell out.
Patrick A.
super nice product easy to print
Rick A.
First time user. Just started this week and have found no problems with your product. I will be ordering more as needed.
Thanks.

Really like this filament. Easy to work with and very good finish quality
Jason Z.
Adheres a little too well to heated PEI bed surface. Had to drop bed temps substantially compared to normal PLA. Good problem to have.
Color is a good black. I would say as low sheen as other PLA+, I would have liked even more matte finish, but it's not shiny at any rate.
Prints nice and seems to be very tough.
joseph c.
prints well but still has some sheen to it, but better than standard black pla.
Tom S.
Almost everything about this filament is great, the matte black looks great, it extrudes easily, but for some reason where other filaments (Filaments.ca ecoTough, Hatchbox, others) first layers adhere perfectly and consistently, I have to do a lot of messing about to get the Tough PLA to stick. But like I said, once I get a reasonable first layer, the rest of the print is fine.
Cory S.
the Black Matte filament is excellent! low luster, layers blend well.
Edward S.
Bought this for a specific prop replica, going to use it for loads of future projects since it gives such a nice finish. I do wonder if it is partially annealed during creation, the stuff prints hotter than most PLA blends I've worked with to date and tends to show thermal stressing on the side adhered to the print-bed.
CHRIS W.
This stuff is just magic at the perfect price.
Alexandre F.
Nice smooth finish
Simon L.
I realy like the mat finish of this filament. Very easy to print. I have tested at 210c in vase mode. I will order others colors, for sure.
Jean-Philippe V.
Works very well.
if you have white shadows/traces under the part, just warn it a little with a heat gun.
