Our new recycled PETG filament is yet another step toward creating more sustainable 3D printing and reducing its environmental impact.
Recycled PETG is made from a mixture of PETG scraps as well as residual waste accumulated during the manufacturing process of our popular PETG while ensuring that original material properties are not compromised.; so it prints and feels just like our standard PETG filament!
Although we use a variety of random PETG colors in the recycling mixture, we strive to achieve a uniform Black colour throughout the batch; Although rare, slight changes in colour shade may sometimes be visible.
Our Recycled PETG is a great choice for those who are looking for a low cost, high quality and a more environmentally sustainable material solution for everyday printing and prototyping.
Rest assured that this filament is manufactured to the same high quality standards as our non-recycled PETG version. Material properties, consistency, tolerances and tests are all monitored and verified as with any of our standard products.
PET is one of the most trusted and commonly used plastics in the world; water bottles, food containers, clothing and more! Our Filaments.ca PETG formulation has been continuously improved since 2013 and is now a customer favorite; preferred over other brands due to its consistency, ease of use, successful printing, durability and price!
Now spooled on a 100% recycled cardboard spool.

PET/G is stronger than just PET and can achieve very strong and sturdy prints. Our Polyester PETG premium filament, also known as glycol modified PET, or less commonly as GPET (the G means it’s been glycol modified for extra durability) is a high performance material that is highly durable and impact resistant. It is also more flexible compared to PLA or ABS and can be safely recycled.
PETG offers excellent clarity, light transmission (in the translucent colors) and high gloss. PETG is also a food contact approved material, is BPA free and prints without any odor or smell!
Once you've mastered the basics for printing with PETG, you will find it to be easy to print with and comes out great in a wide temperature range. It's great even for large flat prints due to its very low shrinkage. Combination of strength, low shrinkage, smoother finish and higher heat resistance make PETG an ideal everyday alternative to PLA and ABS.
Other features include great layer adhesion, chemical resistance including acids and water. Our PETG filament is characterized by consistent quality, high dimensional accuracy and has been extensively tested on a variety of printers; yielding very strong and precise prints.
The Filaments.ca Brand Advantage:
It's the best selling PETG in Canada for a reason! Our premium grade PETG is a result of continually improving formulation based on feedback from our customers & the 3D printing community. Selling in such high volumes gives the Filaments.ca brand an edge over competitors by being able to analyze trends accurately and implement preventive actions to ensure the high quality of our product is maintained and improved.
All our products are stored in and shipped from our own fully controlled warehouse. Having full control over storage conditions, product packaging as well as maintaining a FIFO (First In First Out) storage system is crucial in maintaining optimal freshness of our 3D printing consumables.
