- EconoFil PLA should be printed with a heated print bed set to 60°C - 80°C
- A good quality glue stick should be used for proper bed adhesion on most bed surfaces.
- If warping or stringing occurs, please lower your printing temperature. EconoFil PLA can printed as low as 185°C if needed.
- If excessive stringing occurs, the materials may need to be dried in a dehydrator.
- First layer nozzle temperature usually 5°C-10°C higher than subsequent layers.
Not quite as shiny as expected, but still very nice when used with darker colours.
GREAT GOLD PLA!
Shiny and gold, as one would want.
I printed this with a .24mm layer height and my Anet A8 printer could obviously use a bit of work to get smoother lines, but this filament has a beautiful silky sheen to it. It is also quite strong and simply has a great colour when offset against either matte or glossy black. The picture is my DIY portable laser projector turned into searchlight device. It has 2 axis that can point the projector beam in any direction on the sphere except a 45 degree cone at the bottom due to the base. I simply programmed it to glide to a random location at a random speed with a gradual acceleration: A very cool effect as long as you don't look directly at it :)
All in all, EconoFil PLA is excellent value: Great quality at a surprisingly affordable price. Specifically, I have not seen Silk PLA priced anywhere close to this. Highly recommended and hoping the manufacturer produces even more colours to choose from.

This is a really good filament, it's pretty much like other silk PLA brands, but at a much lower cost. Details are great, this filament needs a little more temperature (+3-5C) to get the same results as standard PLA according to my tests. The only downside I can think of about this silk filament is that the z-layers don't seem to bond together as well as the standard filament.ca PLA. I did lots of print tests at various temperatures and it seems like the silk additives make the filament delaminate a bit more, but not enough in my opinion to knock more than 1 star out of this review.
All in all, I'm quite satisfied with the results, you probably will too!

I didn't need to change any settings and the result is awesome. Almost perfect. Econo PLA is my way to go now. But the gold one.. is simply gorgeous and easy to work with!

This is my favorite silk gold I've used to date. Hands down. It's a bit foamy but works and looks amazing when final.

Shipping in Canada:
We ship Canada wide. We use numerous providers for our shipments. Large shipments, 50kg or more may be shipped by freight. Shipping costs are automatically calculated by the carrier during the checkout process. Any additional shipping charges incurred as a result of incorrect or incomplete address information as well as delivery refusal will be at the customer's expense.
All orders are shipped "Signature not required" unless otherwise requested (additional charges may apply).
All orders are shipped directly from our Brampton, Ontario warehouse.
Free Shipping:
We offer free shipping within Canada - to select jurisdictions - for orders totaling CAD $140 or more before tax. To take advantage of this offer, please choose the free shipping option during the checkout process.
We reserve the right to choose the most economical shipping method. The shipping fee coverage for the free shipping option is limited to shipping services with charges up to CAD$50.
Free shipping does not apply to bulk or custom orders with discounted pricing, or orders totally over $350.
Tracking Numbers:
As soon as your order is fulfilled, you will receive an email confirmation including your tracking number. Some shipping options such as envelopes or local deliveries may not have a tracking number.
Failed Deliveries:
Please note that in case of a refused delivery or if a shipment fails to be delivered to you because no one is home or available to receive the package, the courier WILL send the package back to us at OUR expense. When this happens, we will try to contact you and make further arrangements. These additional shipping charges incurred as well as charges to re-ship the package, will be forwarded to you, the customer. Therefore, please ensure that someone is always available to receive the package or pick it up from your local post office/courier facility before the courier ships it back to us.
Processing Time:
We strive to ship out orders within 24 to 48 hours. Unexpected issues may further delay this process and will be communicated accordingly.
Out of Stock & "Sold Out" Products:
The inventory in our online store and the inventory in our warehouse are synced. When you purchase a product on our online store it means the product is already in stock and ready to ship. But on very rare occasions, technical issues might cause this sync to fail, and one or more of the products purchased might be out of stock. IF this happens, we will offer an alternative product or refund you for the out of stock item/s. Your order may be marked as "partially fulfilled", meaning we will immediately ship the items that are in stock and the rest will be shipped as soon as the item/s are back in stock.
Products marked as "Sold Out" or "Unavailable" are normally available again within 1-4 weeks. Feel free to check back or contact us for information about availability of specific products.

Filament and Resin: If your filament spool is defective (due to a manufacturing error), please contact Filaments.ca within 30 days of delivery. We'll gladly send you a replacement at no charge. Note that incompatibility with your printer is not considered a defect.

Printers, Accessories, and Other Products: For any issues with printers, accessories, or other products, please contact Filaments.ca within 14 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or return as needed. This does not replace any manufacturer warranty provided with the product. Items sold as-is or final sale are not covered by this policy.
Returns
We accept returns of unopened and unused items within 30 days of delivery. This applies to filament, printers, accessories, and other products. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and a 17.5% restocking fee.
